Made from hand picked, sun dried maocha. The cake is hand-made using the traditional stone pressing method.
Cake: These cakes are made with a nice, even pressure. Not too tight, so they can be easily pried apart.
Broth & flavour: The bei xiang is quite dense with floral overtones. The broth is a clear, golden yellow. An initial sweet fragrance quickly gives way to a hui gan that is distinct on the upper palate, tongue and undersides of the tongue. There is a faint lingering bitterness which balances nicely the sweetness of this tea. Overall, a nicely rounded, fulsome flavour which feels smooth in the mouth and an after-taste which is quick but endures.
